Description: Chalk and charcoal sketch on paper of Port Erin golf course behind barbed wire, 1941. Gift to donor's parents (Mr & Mrs Cregeen) from two Italian internees at Port Erin. Sketch mounted on card in white glossed wooden frame with gilt edging. Signed in pencil, bottom right corner 'Bea Hullem '41'. Inscription, ink on paper, taped to reverse of frame '29 Mai 1940/41. To Mr & Mrs Cregeen from the two invaders, Miss Tula and Jeanette'.
The correct spelling of the name is probably Hutten. Bea Hutten was the professional name of Bertha Olga Huttenbach, a professional soprano singer. She was released in 1941.
