Description: Framed and glazed drawing of William Clarke Clague, head and shoulders in open necked shirt, heavily shaded in charcoal by internee F. Catt. Signed in bottom right hand corner.
This is a Second World War internment portrait of donor's father, William Clarke Clague, a civilian mason employed at the Hutchinson Camp, Douglas. He also worked on the stonework for the Manx farmhouse kitchen at the Manx Museum in 1938.
