Silver ink stand from Isle of Man Volunteers
Date made: early 20th century
Description: Silver Ink stand, lettered 'G.G.T.' 'Sept. 20, 1915' 7th Isle of Man Volunteer Battalion King's Liverpool Regiment.
This object came into the museum collections around 1922 when the Volunteers were disbanded. 'G.G.T.' was probably George Goldie Taubman, and the item is either a piece of officers' mess silverware, or possibly a shooting prize.
