Description: Carved block of wood, made to look like a book.
A carved wooden book made from a portion of John Adams' house on Pitcairn Island. A relic of the 'Bounty mutiny'. John Adams was a mutineer with Fletcher Christian, who was the leader of the mutineers. Although from Cumberland, which is just across the sea from the Isle of Man, Fletcher Christian was related to the Christian family of Milntown near Ramsey and maintained links with the Island.
