Glass float possibly from a First World War sea mine
Date made: early 20th century
Description: Glass net [?] float washed ashore at Pooilvaish 20th Aug. 1918. A note in the original register of P. M. C. Kermode (the first Director of the Manx Museum) states 'used for mines during the war' ie the First World War. The word net has been added when the entry was written up in main register.
