HMS Racehorse hammerhead
Date made: 19th Century
Description: Complete bronze hammerhead with central hole and broad arrow-mark stamped near blade end. This would have been used in areas where gunpowder was used. As bronze does not create a spark, it was a preferable material to use around munitions.
