Belvedere Hotel room sign
Description: Belvedere Hotel room signs. Stained and varnished rectangular wooden block with clear glass plate screw to front, glass back - painted in black and gold (lettering) 'Bedrooms 14-21. 22- 28 ' some white paint on wooden block. Fixed on landing to indicate bedroom numbers on that corridor.
The Belvedere Hotel finally closed in 1988. By the 1990s various parts of the Douglas promenade were redeveloped for new office and apartment developments, including the Belvedere Hotel.
