Net needle
Description: Fishing net needles, for mending nets. Made from horn.
All belonged to James Gorry, a fisherman of Port St Mary. Port St Mary was a busy fishing port during the height of the Manx fishing industry. Net making was an important employment in the Isle of Man and in the winter men would be employed in net lofts to mend the nets.
