Description: Satirical cartoon drawn for Isle of Man Times newspaper. Shows Douglas refusing to speak to rest of Isle of Man and in darkness.
This cartoon appeared in the Isle of Man Times of 29 November 1941 and refers to the fact that despite the opening of the all-Island ARP control room that week, Douglas councillors were still insisting that they alone should be responsible for ARP provision in Douglas.
The caption of the cartoon as published was "Hello Douglas - Oh sorry - won't talk eh?"
