Description: Satirical cartoon drawn for Isle of Man Times newspaper. Shows hurricane blowing out of 19 Athol Street. This cartoon was published on 18 December 1954 and is a reference to the fact that the headquarters of the Action Group had moved to Athol Street. The Action Group was responsible for promoting and developing the island as a holiday resort and the Mayor of Douglas is quoted as stating that the Island had had a better season in 1954 as a result of their efforts.
