Crocheted collar
Date made: 1940-1942
Description: A white, cream fine crocheted collar, scalloped edge with flower, rosette design at centre of each scallop. Nine scallops along whole collar.
Collar made by donor, Rosemary 'Bella' Klaffl when interned as child, teenager with her mother in Rushen Internment Camp during the Second World War. After the war she married S.J. Wood and became Mrs Rosemary Wood, generally known as Bella Wood. Donor made several but sold the rest to wealthier internees in Rushen Camp to make money.
