Description: Crayon and charocoal portrait of a Douglas character.
Both the sitter and artist are unknown. Our historic art collection, gathered over the past 100 years, contain a number of artworks for which we have very little information. The stern Victorian depicted in the portrait must have been someone of note at the time, but it is unlikely we will ever resolve the mystery of who he was.
