Woollen Wholecloth Quilt

Date made: 19th century

Description: A reversible red and salmon linsey-woolsey wholecloth quilt. One side is red linsey-woolsey, the reverse is a salmon-coloured coarse woollen wholecloth.

The quilt is machine-quilted in a diamond or trellis pattern with what appears to be a cream coloured cotton thread, although this may have faded. The quilt does not contain any wadding.

Measurements: overall: 216 cm x 172 cm
