The obituary of James Mylchreest appeared in the Peel City Guardian 25/2/1911. He was aged 85 and resided at Bay View House, Castletown. He had a grocery business in Malew Street, was a Justice of the Peace and the first chairman of Castletown Commissioners. He also represented Castletown in the House of Keys.
