Powder Horn

Description: Powder horn with initials of owner 'T.C' cut in oak bottom. Given to Mr Lace by 'Juan a Faowyr' (Faragher) who lived in the old thatched house, now ruined, at the west side of the Mill dam at The Lhen.

A powder horn was a container for gunpowder, and was generally created from cow or ox horn.
