Description: Car headlamp mask - 2nd issue. Used during the Second World War. 1939 - 1945.
Headlamp masks were used on cars during the blackout, and allowed only a narrow slit of light to show. The blackout was strictly enforced on the Isle of Man as part of Air Raid Precautions, and infringments could result in court action being taken. There were also numerous accidents in the blackout.
