Quill Pen used by Lieutenant Governor Raglan
Date made: early 20th century
Description: Quill pen which (belonged?) was used by the late Archdeacon Kewley. With this quill the Lieutenant Governor (Lord Raglan) signed the silver wedding address to their Majesties passed by Tynwald on the Hill on 1st August 1918.
Tynwald Day was postponed that year due to the General Strike ('Bread Strike') in support of the 9d loaf, which crippled the Isle of Man.
