Description: Piece of lead pipe from the old 'Well' in Lord Street, showing old type of sheet piping and jointing, approximately 1750s.
Mr J. C. Bregazzi, Borough Surveyor found a brick-lined well in March 1953 in the course of excavating for a new trunk sewer between Hanover Street and Lord Street close to the Wheatsheaf Inn.
