English-style Pieced Quilt

Description: A cotton pieced patchwork quilt with the Flying Geese patchwork pattern of alternating white stripes and stripes of white and green cotton triangles.

The quilt is backed with a white cotton sheet.

This patchwork quilt was made by donor's great grandmother, Mrs John Collister of Port St Mary following the death of her son, John Frederick Collister, aged 18 months in 1876.
