Knockaloe bone vase

Description: A carved beef bone vase, with a heavy plain dark wood base, made in Knockaloe Civilian Internment Camp by an unknown internee. A single flower (simple tulip design) is hand carved in bas relief on the front of the vase with a simple band carved around the top rim. 'Zur Erinnerung! Isle of Man 1914-16.' is carved on the reverse of the vase. The hollow bone vase is attached to the base by a wooden plug nailed to the base.
