Horse or Pony's Overshoes

Description: Set of four leather overshoes, made to measure by Mr P. M. Corlett, (Saddler) of Ramsey, for the donor's pony, 'Lolla', circa 1930. Used when the pony was required to pull the large roller on the Lezayre vicarage lawn, so that the horseshoes would not damage the turf and leave unsightly divots. Nb these are also known as lawn slippers, compare with 2016-0017.
