Description: Portrait executed at Knockaloe, of Mrs John Moore, nee Crennell of Shellagh. Sitter about 18 when photograph taken. She wears a snood, and a high-necked dress (with a lace collar fastened with a brooch) with lace or ruching down the sleeve seams and a belt above waist seam.
Eliza Moore appears on the 1891 Census married to John Moore a cabinet maker, with sons Noah and Philip (both pupil teachers). The family lived at 104 Bucks Road, Douglas. Eliza was born c 1847 so the portrait dates from around 1865.
