Hutchinson Camp Chanukah card

Description: A handprinted yellow card with a barbed wire and floral border with guards with rifles in the corners and the inscription, 'Sometimes I walk, Sometimes I sit, Sometimes I sleep, But always.... I remember you... Hutchinson Camp, I.o.M. 1940' and a row of Chanukah candles.
A card produced in Hutchinson Civilian Internment Camp to celebrate the Jewish festival of Chanukah in December. The card was given to donor's husband who was a member of the Home Guard and lived at 13 Falkland Drive, Onchan, during the Second World War. He visited the internment camps on a regular basis.
