Hutchinson Camp carved figure (one of a pair)

Description: One of a pair of hand carved seated male figures (similar to bookends) made by an internee, prisoner in Hutchinson Camp for the donor's father, Thomas (Tommy) Johnston, a guard at Hutchinson Camp from 1941 onwards (originally he spent first six months at Mooragh Camp c.1940).
The seated male is wearing a hat and has a beard, the figure is holding a pipe in it's left hand. Written on the length of the pipe and part obscured by the hand is the inscription: 'We****illelagh'. The figure has been stained, coloured and has a polished finish.
