Description: Leicester Homan J.P. of Ballaterson, Ballaugh, who it is believed was an interpreter at Knockaloe Civilian Internment Camp during the First World War. The oil painting is a half length, head and shoulders portrait of Leicester Homan wearing glasses and a hat. The painting is thought to have been painted by a civilian internee at Knockaloe Camp.

Leicester Homan lived at Ballaterson Manor, Ballaugh and in his will left funds to Ramsey Cottage Hospital which were used for the building of a new extension. The portrait was at Ramsey Cottage Hospital for several years.
