A rural landscape by Dorothy Nicholson (nee Templeton). Dorothy taught art in local Manx schools and was a very talented artist. By marriage she was part of the famous Nicholson Manx artistic dynasty. She was at one time married to John H. Nicholson. Both Dorothy and John developed a very similar artistic style. Very few examples of her art survive.
