Artist: Moore, Juan

Description: A framed and glazed acrylic painting by the Manx artist, Juan Moore, entitled 'Where is My Mind' and depicting a man against an orange background and holding his hands up to where his head should be, but there is a goldfish instead.

The painting was part of the yearlong 'Welcome to the Neighbourhood' art project, funded by the Isle of Man Arts Council, whereby artist Juan Moore created 100 artworks in a 12 month period and exhibited them in a series of four temporary art exhibitions in unusual venues. The 5th exhibition, where all 100 artworks were exhibited, was staged at the end of the project at the Manx Museum (July-August 2011).

The 'Where is My Mind' painting was part of the 'Carpe Diem' (Fish of the Day) art exhibition staged at the Tanroagan Fish Restaurant in Douglas in November 2010 and was used as the image for the 'Welcome to the Neighbourhood' project and for the cover of the exhibition catalogue and poster for the final/ 5th exhibition.
