Manganese(?) mineral vein

Description: Dark grey, fine-grained Manx Group country rock with irregular, mm wide veins of muscovite-rich material. Also veins of medium- to coarse-grained K-feldspar and quartz with vugs of coarse grained, euhedral minerals, including dark reddish brown garnet and possibly tourmaline. Part of Dr Gerhard Bersu's 1940 excavation for manganese.
