Mineral vein in Manx slate
Description: Coarse, white, chalky K-feldspar with occasional vein quartz plus mica and a black mineral (?tourmaline). Occasional areas of Manx Group pelite country rock. Much of the sample is associated with a fine black powder (?manganese). Part of Dr Gerhard Bersu's 1940 excavation for manganese.
