Michael Gold Ring

Date made: Medieval AD 1150 - 1300

Description: This gold ring has long since lost its stone, but it was once the personal symbol of office of an influential individual. Decorated with a flower motif, it contains around 90% gold. It would have belonged to a high-ranking church official and dates to around AD 1200-1250, towards the end of the Kingdom of Man and the Isles.

The ring was found in the north of the Island by Rob Farrer and declared Treasure Trove.
