Description: Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) timekeeper's book. Hard blue covers with white lettering. Inside loose sheets hand written with times. Appears to be a ready reckoner used to convert times to speeds.
Using this guide, the time taken to complete a lap of the TT Course could be converted into an average speed in miles per hour for the whole lap. Lap records for the TT are hotly contested. The first 100mph lap of the TT Course was by Bob McIntyre in 1957. The lap record in 2018 was 135.452mph, set by Peter Hickman in a time of 16:42.778.
