Hand-painted child's tambourine
Date made: early 20th century
Description: Musical instrument. This small tambourine has a handpainted scene of a castle, lake and alpine-style mountains. It was given to the donor by her Aunt Sarah (KIlley), who lived on Peel Road, Douglas, when donor was a child (aged about 8) c.1936. The aunt told the donor that the tambourine was made by 'Prisoners of War' (the donor assumed this was during the First World War).
