Description: Kit used by Major Keith Grimble Groves of The Varrey, Maughold whose LVD papers are in the Manx Museum Library and Archives:

b] aluminium water bottle, possibly First World War, re-used during Home Guard years.

Keith Grimble Groves served in the London Regiment during the First World War. His address at that time was :
1 Essex Court, Temple, London EC.

He appears to have moved to the IOM between the wars and became a major in the Home Guard during Second World War.
