Description: Engraved gold pocket watch in presentation box. Presented to Percy 'Tim' Hunt for his win in the 1927 Amateur Road Race (forerunner of the Manx Grand Prix).
'Tiger Tim' Hunt was a notorious playboy who went on to become a Norton factory rider in the 1930s, competing in the Tourist Trophy (TT) races. In 1931 he won both the Senior and the Junior TT and in 1933 he had podium finishes in the Senior and Junior races.
