Description: “Peel town is long, but narrow, few people of any distinction dwelling here, most of the houses are but a better sort of cabins. Here is a very good harbour, and much resorted to by the Scotch and Irish vessels.” (Waldron, The History and Description of the Isle of Man, 1726, M 00733)
