Description: Pencil sketches produced by the donor's father Alfred Schwarzchild whilst interned on the Isle of Man, 1940 (he was a professional artist, forced to flee Germany by the Nazis). Pencil sketches executed on lined exercise paper. One side shows a man reclining, smoking a pipe, the other side shows a facial study of a sleeping man.
