Ramsey
Description: Ramsey lies on the north east coast of the Isle of Man (NGR 24525 49425). Glover's illustrated guide and visitors' companion through the Isle of Man, 1875 says “…streets clean and well lighted, with terraces neat and ornamental, it has for years been a favourite resort of those who seek - in the restoration of their health - quietness and repose. Its hotels and boarding houses are first-class, and everything that can add to the comfort of those who may for a time make it their temporary home, can be procured.” (p.106.)
