Notes: From IOM Weekly Times 3 December 1933. Reports that a letter has been issued by Government Office announcing that the Manx Flag has been recorded in the publication 'Flags of All Nations' issued by the Admiralty and recognised by H.M. Government as the territorial emblem of the Isle of Man and may be flown onshore by anyone at any time and official instructions have been issued as Government Circular 1396 [see M 29364]. With letter from H.P. Kelly President of the Manx Society appealing for the flag to be used.
