Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from the Home Secretary, Lord Sidmouth, informing the Duke of Atholl that he has examined all the information available, and has also sought the opinion of Sir Thomas Plumer, His Majesty's Attorney General, on the issue of the Government House on the Isle of Man; Lord Sidmouth goes on to state that he finds that he cannot advise the Prince Regent to order the Lieutenant Governor to vacate the residence, in order that the Duke may make use of it.
