Rushen Camp internee-made notebook

Description: A handmade red suede notebook cover with 'Notes' burnt into it and red stitching around edge of cover. Handwritten on the first page (loose) is 'May your life be full of sunshine M.'. The notebook is thought to have been made by Maria, a civilian internee in the Rushen Internment Camp during the Second World War, and given to Kathleen Jones.
The notebook belonged to the donor's aunt, Kathleen Jones, who worked in the Rushen Internment camp as a Manx civilian worker in camp administration.
