Scope & Content: A file relating to the House of Keys and the wider Legislature of the Isle of Man; the majority of the papers concern the Committee of Highways, including the appointment of its members, and matters relating to the finances of the Highway Fund and the upkeep of the island's roads; also present are copies of precepts sent to the Coroners of the various sheadings, summoning members of the Keys and other individuals to attend Courts of Tynwald, the Court of General Gaol Delivery and other courts; and also papers regarding the constitution of the isle and the order of precedence, concerning members of the Council; there is also a printed booklet, titled: 'Heads of a Bill, suggested for the commutation of tithes in the Isle of Man;' most of the papers are dated between 1821 and 1823.
